22 — It’s Never Too Late

21 is different – that was my motto this past year; and boy was it different. I had to say goodbye to people I thought I’d never lose in my life, but I gained wonderful friendships. I got my first tattoo and it is a daily reminder of strength. I underwent my 11th hip surgery and it’s still so hard to wrap my head around. I got my nose pierced – bling, bling. I’ve struggled with my recovery more than I thought I ever would. I said goodbye to Seattle – a place that completely broke my heart and caused so much pain, and I moved back to where God is calling me to be. I found my calling in nursing and DIY projects. And I have this wonderful thing called a home that I am creating everyday.

Now, I say goodbye to 21 is different and hello to: 22 – it’s never too late. It’s never too late to be who you want to be, to live out a dream, or to just be. It’s never too late to start a new career, a family, or simply let your childlike self out.

I am ringing in 22 with no selfie or big celebration – just a cold, my journal in hand, and hope for a future. ❤️
