Guess what I did!?!?!

I got my nose pierced and boy, was I excited!

Most people probably wouldn’t have been nearly as excited and happy as I was, but this was SO much more than just a piercing.

You see, since I turned 21, I told myself that things needed to be different… Which is why I came up with the hashtag #21IsDifferent. I knew I needed to change my life and heal in order for me to be set free and happy.

So far, I dyed my hair for the first time ever (a few month prior to my birthday), got my first tattoo (which has a powerful meaning behind it), and now, got my nose pierced. I also started writing again and created this blog.

For the longest time, I have wanted to do those things, but I was always too scared or listened too much to other people’s opinions. Then one day, I realized this is my life and at the end of the day, if they love me, then they will support me, regardless.

I am becoming the person I always hoped I’d be… myself. Beautifully and perfectly hard crafted by the One who gave his life for me. I am learning how to live with hope and create happiness in the midst of the storm.
