Happy 1 Year Post Op

Happy 1 year post op of my 11th hip surgery!! This time last year, I was in a dark place and I stayed there for quite awhile. Not only was I faced with another surgery, but my depression and anxiety consumed me… yet again, I felt so worthless. I felt like my body was giving up on me, but I was wrong. With time, love, and lots of rehab and therapy, I have come out stronger. These hips of mine sure do like go test my strength.

Shout out to my amazing medical team at Proliance Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine. I will never stop saying thank you.

Special thanks to Amy, Angela, J.E.S., who saw me in my darkness, sat with me while I cried, and walked by my side. You are one of a kind.

The Romine-Black clan, I am grateful you are my family. Things haven’t been easy, but life would suck without you. I love each of you so much.

For those who are wondering, I do not have any scheduled or planned surgeries coming up. This is the first time in 9 years nothing is on the books! Wahoo! I am currently learning how to live life with my hip replacement and figuring out my new normal with these hips, while also pursuing a career in nursing. I still have a long way to go and at times the pain is too much, but with faith anything is possible. Thank you, God, for being my constant one! ❤️ You are the reason I am here today. Happy 1 year!!
